Reisenauer Design
We noticed that the homes people loved the most weren't always the newest or the biggest. They were the homes where every passing season added to their story instead of taking away from it.
The more we paid attention, the more we realized those homes weren't timeless by accident.
This led us to historic homes, architectural history, building science, and countless conversations with homeowners. Piece by piece, our philosophy began to take shape.
Why do some homes become more loved over time, while others seem to lose something almost as soon as they're finished?
We studied historic homes because we wanted to understand why they still feel right centuries later. That search eventually led us to a Roman architect named Vitruvius, whose principles of beauty, function, and strength continue to shape the way we think today.
Along the way, we explored building science, learned from the homes we lived in ourselves, and listened closely to the families we designed for. Every experience added another piece to the puzzle.
Eventually, those ideas became one philosophy: Thoughtful homes aren't the result of one great decision. They're the result of hundreds of small ones, made with the future in mind

Kristin's background in design and client relationships shaped the way she listens, helping families uncover what makes a home feel deeply personal. Bryce's decades in construction taught him that the homes which endure are built through thoughtful planning, craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to quality.
Together, those perspectives have become the foundation of Reisenauer Design Co. Every home is shaped through both lenses from the very beginning, creating spaces that are as enduring as they are personal.
More than anything, we're curious. Every project, every historic home, and every conversation shapes and grows the way we think about building. We hope that curiosity is reflected in every home we design.

As a boutique design-build studio, we intentionally take on a limited number of projects each year so we can remain deeply involved from the first conversation through the day you move in.
Throughout the process, you'll work directly with us, Kristin and Bryce. The people designing your home are the same people guiding construction, answering your questions, and helping shape every decision along the way.
Staying small means we can give every family our full attention and every home the care it deserves.

The kitchen...we love a challenge. You have to strike a fine balance between the kitchen's role as a private retreat and a public gathering space. There is an art to designing a space that blends everyday function with moments of connection.
Best part of the house
We love working with earthy color palettes - greens, browns, and muddy yellows. Nature is timeless and these colors bring a natural, grounded feel to a space.
